A bellboy is an important part of a hotel's staff. They are responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Bell boys greet visitors, carry their luggage to their rooms and provide assistance with any other requests that the guest may have. In addition to these duties, bell boys are expected to help out in the restaurant area when needed.
At a restaurant, bellboys typically take orders from customers and deliver them to the kitchen or bar area for preparation. They may also be responsible for serving food and drinks to tables as well as collecting payment after meals are completed. During slow periods they can assist with refilling condiments, cleaning up spills or helping out with setting up tables or chairs if necessary.
