Job Requirements

1. Order Selection: Using a handheld device or computer terminal, the E Picker retrieves items to fulfill customer or internal orders. This may involve following instructions on pick tickets or digital displays.
2. Accuracy and Efficiency: Picking the correct items, quantities, and variations (e.g., size, color) is crucial. E Pickers need to be efficient and meet set quotas or picking rates.
3. Scanning and Verification: Many warehouses use barcode scanners or RFID technology. The E Picker would scan the item and possibly the location slot to ensure they have the right product.
4. Packing or Sorting: Depending on the workflow, the E Picker might sort the picked items onto conveyors, place them in bins or boxes for further processing, or even pack them for shipment themselves.
5. Maintaining Inventory Levels: E Pickers might be responsible for checking stock levels on shelves and reporting any discrepancies or low inventory situations.
6. Following Safety Procedures: Warehouses can be busy environments with moving machinery. E Pickers need to follow safety protocols, which may involve wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe lifting practices.
