1. Transaction Processing: Recording financial transactions in the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other income and expense accounts.
2. Financial Statements: Preparing financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, which provide a comprehensive picture of the company's financial health.
3. Month-End Close: Performing month-end closing procedures to ensure all accounts are reconciled and financial statements are accurate.
4. Tax Preparation: Calculating and preparing tax returns for federal, state, and local tax authorities.
5. Tax Compliance: Staying informed of current tax laws and regulations to ensure the company is compliant.
6. Tax Planning: Developing tax strategies to minimize the company's tax burden.
7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Creating financial budgets and forecasts to guide business decisions.
8. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and make recommendations to improve the company's financial performance.
