Job Requirements

Dishwashers play a vital role in keeping kitchens clean and functioning smoothly. Their responsibilities can be broadly categorized into three main areas: washing dishes, maintaining the dishwashing area, and supporting other kitchen tasks.

1. Scrape and pre-rinse: They scrape leftover food scraps from dishes before rinsing them with a spray hose to remove loose debris.
2. Load and unload dishwashing machines: They efficiently load soiled dishes, silverware, and cookware into the dishwasher, ensuring proper placement for optimal cleaning. They also unload clean dishes once the cycle is complete.
3. Handwashing dishes: For delicate items or heavily soiled pots and pans, they handwash them in designated sinks using hot water, soap, and sanitizing solutions.
