Store assistants, also sometimes called sales associates, wear many hats! Their responsibilities can be grouped into three main categories:

1. Greeting and assisting customers: This includes welcoming customers to the store, answering their questions about products, and helping them find what they're looking for.
2. Product knowledge: Store assistants should have a good understanding of the products they sell in order to effectively recommend items and answer customer inquiries.
3. Processing sales: This may involve scanning items at the register, collecting payment, and providing receipts or bags. In some stores, cashiering duties might be separate from sales associate responsibilities.
