Job Requirements

1. Receiving Goods: Assisting with receiving incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and descriptions against invoices or packing slips.
2. Stock Control: Helping with maintaining accurate stock records, including updating stock levels in inventory management systems after receiving and issuing items.
3. Stocktaking: Participating in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and identifying any discrepancies.
4. Unpacking and Stocking: Unpacking received goods and stocking shelves, bins, or designated storage locations according to established procedures.
5. Maintaining Order: Keeping the storage area clean, organized, and accessible by rotating stock (FIFO - First In, First Out) and ensuring proper labeling of items.
6. Fulfilling Orders: Picking and packing orders accurately based on customer requests or internal requisitions.
7. Maintaining Equipment: Assisting with basic maintenance of equipment like barcode scanners, label printers, or material handling equipment.
8. Safety and Security: Following safety protocols in the storage area, including proper handling of materials, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, and reporting any safety hazards.
9. Data Entry: Entering basic data into inventory management systems, such as recording incoming or outgoing items.
10. Customer Service: In some cases, you may interact with customers to answer basic questions about product availability or assist with locating items.
